  I love this place! Great pretty authentic Mexican food for PA. Do not let the old Pizza hut building fool you. I love the Chicken and Cheese Flautas

  This is the 2nd Mexican restaurant in the area that I have visited with my co-worker and last.  Seems that for whatever reason, this area just can't get the easiest food to make, done right!.
  
  Food: Coworker had some steak dish combo, which he managed to get about half way through and giving up.  I had the ribeye steak with shrimp.  My dish was beyond non-edible.  I know that Mexican places buy cheap beef; its a fact (I used to consult at a slaughterhouse in TX).  There is only one exception, a place in Shreveport that is owned by the same guy that owns the #1 steak place in town.
  
  I was able to get a few pieces cut off the steak and wedged them into a tortilla, but the rest was left on the plate or pieces that I had to spit out.  The shrimp was ok; but overall a total disaster. I also ordered a chili releno; which for the first time ever, had meat on top, instead of stuffed.
  
  I am not sure what is driving the high praise, but either this place has gone downhill or people just haven't had decent Mex food.
  
  Overall: Decor is great and there were enough people here to give it a sense of "good" place to eat, but it just wasn't.  Seemed a lot of people were ordering fajitas, so maybe that's the only item they can handle coming out of the kitchen. I personally don't go to authentic Mex places to order fajitas.
  
  Sorry, but a hard pass on coming back here and no-mas on any other Mex places in the area.

  Very, very good food!!! love the nachos & quesadillas !!!! great service & very nice seating!! love all the colors & food:)

  I love this place so much!! It's authentic Mexican food, and the staff here is great. I even changed my ordered 2 times and the waitress so patient and kind. I 100% recommend coming here. On the weekends it's extremely busy, the wait tends to be a bit long on the weekends and Friday nights, but I believe it's worth the wait.
  
  You are seated with warm homemade crispy chips with their amazing flavorful salsa! Unlimited warm chips and salsa. I love it.

  My family and I just moved to the area and were looking for a good local Mexican restaurant.  Rey Azteca seemed well rated and when we drove up had a seemingly full parking lot..  both great signs.  We decided to give it a try.
  
  We walked in and there was a short wait.  This was our first time here so we did not know the process and stood at the doorway waiting thinking a hostess would come get our name.  Instead we were told (not very politely) to sign our names on the sign in sheet.  The wait for seating was not long which was good.  The place is not very big and it was very crowded so it made it feel it a bit cramped for my liking.  
  
  The waitress came right over with chips and salsa and to get our drink order.  We ordered our drinks and asked for queso as well.  She returned quickly with drinks in hand, but no queso (that's fine maybe it wasn't ready yet).  She asked if we were ready to order, I had not really had a chance to take a good look at the menu and noticed while we were waiting that there were specials on a board in the foyer area.  I asked her about the specials and she couldn't really tell me what they were.  I didn't see any specials menu or sign in the dining area.  I told her I didn't really know what I wanted yet and she stood there and waited which made me feel pressured, so I just ordered fajitias for my kids and myself to split.  My husband also ordered fajitas.  
  
  Now the food:  The chips weren't that good..  needed some salt.  The fajitas were not the best I have ever had.  There was a tiny little sprinkle of cheese on the beans (although I will say the flavor of the beans was good), I got steak shrimp and chicken fajitas, we got 4 shrimp which were not very big to begin with, but sliced to look longer (bigger).  There was a fair amount of chicken and a little less steak than chicken.  The protein pieces were just very small.  There was about a 1/4 tsp of sour cream, no pico, and a very tiny little dollop of guac.  all sitting on a very large mound of shredded iceberg.  
  
  We each had one tiny little napkin and our waitress was very busy so she never really came back around to see if we needed anything.  I tried to get her attention a few times, but that didn't work.
  
  Needless to say the dinner left us wanted better and more.  We usually frequent Las Margaritas and I have to say I would prefer to drive the 4 miles up the road there before I would return here for another meal.
